Prior to/during my academic years I was diving into the therapy arts of neurosomatic experiencing and various bodywork modalities. This experience perfectly supports the stress as a root cause component of functional medicine. My favorite part of this important work is helping people see that when we work on the level of the nervous system (not the story the mind wants to perseverate on) we don’t have to go into the rabbit hole to address, and be free from stressful experiences (past or present)

My bachelor’s degree from the University of California - Santa Cruz (biology w/an emphasis in biochemistry) gave me a solid foundation to dive into a targeted practitioner training at The School of Applied Functional Medicine

Learning how the systems of the body are interconnected showed me that the ways in which my body responds to its environment makes complete sense. I can look at my health challenges with an understanding that my body responds from a place of evolutionary wisdom rather than because it’s broken. This allows me to make targeted adjustments that encourage my body to have a different response.

My training will never end…thank goodness
